Carabibas Merseguera is a fresh and elegant white wine that celebrates one of Alicante’s oldest native grape varieties. Produced by Bodegas Sierra de Cabreras in the heart of the Alto Vinalopó, it is made from 100% Merseguera grown in old bush-trained vineyards that reflect the unique character of the region.

The vineyards lie at around 550 metres above sea level, between the Sierra de Salinas and the Sierra de Cabreras. Sandy soils influenced by the ancient Laguna de Salinas, together with warm days and cool nights, allow the grapes to ripen slowly while preserving their freshness and natural acidity. The result is a wine that is vibrant, balanced and unmistakably Mediterranean.

Every bunch is harvested by hand before being gently vinified at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The winery follows a philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the vineyard and the Merseguera grape to express themselves naturally without unnecessary manipulation.

On the nose, Carabibas Merseguera displays aromas of green apple, pear and white flowers, together with subtle herbal notes. The palate is fresh, smooth and beautifully balanced, finishing with delicate minerality and a refreshing touch that invites another sip.

About the Producer

Bodegas Sierra de Cabreras was founded in 2009 in the Alto Vinalopó, surrounded by the Sierra de Salinas and the Sierra de Cabreras. From the very beginning, the winery has focused on expressing the unique identity of its landscape through small-production wines made with maximum respect for the vineyard.

The estate farms old vineyards of Monastrell and Merseguera, harvested entirely by hand and cultivated using a philosophy of minimal intervention. The combination of limestone and sandy soils, 550 metres of altitude and significant day-to-night temperature variation gives the wines freshness, elegance and remarkable balance. Rather than following trends, Carabibas produces authentic Alicante wines that allow the vineyard, climate and native varieties to speak for themselves.
