Description
L’Alba Tinto | DO Alicante, Spain
L’Alba Tinto is a vibrant young red wine from Bodegas Faelo, crafted from Syrah in the countryside around Elche in DO Alicante. Fresh, aromatic and fruit-driven, it reflects the Mediterranean character of the area while keeping the lively personality expected from a young red wine.
Bodegas Faelo produces its wines from its own harvests and vineyards located around Matola, Crevillente and the winery itself. The family continues to work on a small scale, maintaining traditional practices alongside temperature-controlled winemaking to preserve the freshness and aromatic character of the grapes.
L’Alba Tinto shows Syrah in a particularly approachable style. Rather than relying on oak ageing, the focus is on fresh fruit, floral character and aromatic herbs, creating a juicy and expressive red with a distinctly Mediterranean personality.
On the palate, it is flavourful and aromatic, with red forest fruits complemented by herbal and balsamic notes. A long, pleasant finish makes this an easy-going but characterful Alicante red that works particularly well at the table.

About the Producer
Bodegas Faelo is a small family winery located in Matola, in the countryside of Elche, Alicante. Although the winery was officially established in 2000, its winemaking roots stretch back through several generations of the family, preserving a strong connection with the traditional viticulture of the area.
The winery is led by Jaime Soto and works with its own vineyards around Matola, Crevillente and the bodega itself. Production remains deliberately limited, with a focus on small quantities, individual vintages and wines that express the character of the local Mediterranean landscape.
Faelo works with varieties including Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Moscatel, Chardonnay and Syrah. Traditional practices remain an important part of the winery’s identity, while modern temperature-controlled equipment allows greater precision and helps preserve freshness and aromatic character.
L’Alba Tinto represents the youthful and fruit-driven side of Bodegas Faelo — an expressive Syrah designed to show fresh fruit, aromatic herbs and the warm Mediterranean personality of Alicante.
