Description
Pazo das Bruxas Albariño | DO Rías Baixas, Spain
Pazo das Bruxas is a beautifully fresh 100% Albariño from Galicia, full of bright fruit, citrus and that lovely Atlantic character that makes Rías Baixas whites so easy to fall in love with.
The name means “Manor House of the Witches”, inspired by old Galician legends of bruxas gathering among the forests, vineyards and traditional manor houses to dance, cast their spells and summon spirits. According to the story, their energy travelled through the vines, helping bring the Albariño grapes to life. A little Galician magic in a bottle.
In the glass, it is all about freshness and elegance. Think white flowers, juicy apple, pineapple and lemon, with a smooth, silky texture and a deliciously refreshing finish. There is plenty of lively acidity, but it doesn’t feel sharp — the fruit and softness make it wonderfully easy to drink.
This is the sort of white wine that works just as well with a plate of seafood as it does chilled on its own on a sunny afternoon. Fresh, vibrant and full of character, it’s an excellent introduction to Albariño — and a bottle that is dangerously easy to finish.

💎 Why We Love It
Because it’s everything we want from a good Albariño: fresh, fruity, silky and incredibly easy to enjoy.
There is enough acidity to make it beautifully refreshing, but it isn’t one of those whites that makes your mouth feel like you’ve bitten into a lemon. The fruit gives it softness and charm, while that little Atlantic edge keeps you coming back for another sip.
And frankly, a wine involving Galician witches, vineyards and a little magic already has our attention.
About the Producer
Familia Torres has been making wine for more than 150 years, but Pazo das Bruxas marked the family’s first adventure into Rías Baixas. In 2012, the fifth generation began working with Albariño, sourcing grapes primarily from Val do Salnés, one of the most famous areas for the variety.
The idea was simple: create an Albariño that captured the freshness and personality of Galicia rather than trying to turn it into something overly complicated. The result is a wine with a distinctly Atlantic feel — fresh, aromatic and wonderfully food-friendly.
